A chance encounter at Lime Rock introduced him to adaptive driving and revealed the barriers many disabled drivers face. That realization became the foundation for Just Hands—an organization focused on expanding access, community, and opportunity on track.

After a life-altering accident at 21, Tim Horrell rebuilt his path into professional motorsports. Racing with hand controls, he progressed from track days to competitive racing in the U.S. and Europe, proving that skill, preparation, and persistence define performance on track.

Robert Wickens’ return to racing is a story of precision, adaptation, and competition at the highest level. After a spinal cord injury ended his IndyCar rookie season, he rebuilt his racing career using fully hand-controlled systems, returning to full-time competition, winning races, and contributing to advancements in adaptive motorsport technology.

Nathalie McGloin competes head-to-head against able-bodied drivers in some of the UK’s most competitive club racing series. As a quadriplegic driver, she races on equal terms while also shaping the future of motorsport access through her leadership within the FIA.
